Essential Tips
Uber and Lyft are the easiest way to get around. The Las Vegas Monorail runs along the east side of the Strip. Walking works for the central Strip — just allow more time than you expect.
ATMs inside casinos charge high fees — use your bank's ATM or withdraw before arriving. Set a daily budget and stick to it. Tipping is expected for dealers, servers, valets, and housekeeping.
Summers are extremely hot (105°F+). Spring and fall are ideal. Winters are mild but nights get cold. Stay hydrated — the desert air is dry and alcohol dehydrates faster.
Hotel, shows, popular restaurants, and any tours. Walk-in availability exists but is unpredictable, especially on weekends.
