Walk across the top of the dam for views into Black Canyon on one side and Lake Mead on the other. The scale is hard to appreciate until you're standing on it.
Memorial Bridge
The Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, completed in 2010, provides the best aerial view of the dam. A short walk from the parking area.
Visitor Center

- Fall (Sept-Nov) — similar to spring. Summer remains popular but temperatures can exceed 110°F in Black Canyon.
- Avoid midday in summer — the canyon absorbs and radiates extreme heat between 11am-3pm.

- Sunscreen and sunglasses — UV reflection off the concrete and water is intense
